Pumpkin Festival Team Member
Temporary work in October

Sunnyfields has exciting opportunities for people of varying skills, ages and experience to join our 2019 Pumpkin Festival team. We are interested in people who would be comfortable with interacting with the public, are open to learning new tasks and have a positive can-do attitude.

Typical roles would include: selling pumpkins, supporting the pumpkin carving area, serving/cooking food and drink, car park management, operating 'the photo booth' and team leader/people manager roles.

The dates of the festival are 5-6, 12-13 and 19-31 of October, which is when the majority of the work is required, though there could be some additional preparation shifts in the lead-up to these dates if you are available.

The pay for most of the roles will be the minimum for your age bracket, though if you have management or commercial kitchen experience we would consider higher. We welcome applications from people aged 15 and older.

We will favour candidates who are available for the largest range of dates, which will minimise training and maximise your experience.

The shifts will all be between 6-8 hours.

Payment will all occur at the end of the festival on Friday 1 November or at the end of your last shift.

If you would like to apply, please email tom@sunnyfields.co.uk ensuring all of the following is included:

  1. The subject line of the email being 'Pumpkin Work' followed by your first and second name
  2. Your CV attached
  3. A few lines about yourself and why you would like to work at this year's pumpkin festival
  4. The dates of all of the days of October which you are completely free to work

The new eatery will start by offering breakfast and lunch options and will then extend to evening service.

The candidate must have previous catering knowledge (preferably hold NVQ level 1 as a minimum), though experience is very much preferred.

They will need to be hard working, willing to learn, and a great team player, though above all you must be passionate about cooking with a willingness to test new things and adapt as the business grows.

Working weekends and bank holidays will be a requirement and salary will depend on experience.
